Officer Jason Ragland, Colorado Police Officer
 Colorado. It's pitch black. Officer Jason Ragland and several other officers are on call pursuing a dangerous felon through a large, unlit field. Officer Ragland decides to use ITT night vision goggles, while other officers use flashlights and a K-9 unit.
Suddenly, through the goggles, Officer Ragland spots someone moving toward him in the trees ahead about 200 yards away. He crouches down in the grass and waits. As the figure approaches, Officer Ragland prepares himself for the confrontation.
And in an instant, he draws his weapon.
From about 30 yards, through the goggles, he's able to identify the man he was about to shoot as Officer Rob Kelly, who is searching the field with his highly trained police dog. A friendly fire incident has just been prevented.
The criminal is apprehended a short time later, but more importantly, thanks to ITT, all the officers head home safely that night.
